Welcome to the Formativ Applet Focus download page. This is where you can download the solutions described in the Applet Focus articles. You can add an unlimited number of Formativ solutions!
What do I need to use Formativ solutions?
To run the Formativ solutions available on this page, you first need to install a Formativ 'engine' product, such as Formativ Studio, Creator or Runtime/Client.
Which solution is compatible with my Formativ product?
Once you have installed a Formativ 'engine' product, you can download one or more of the solutions below. You can determine whether a solution is compatible with your Formativ product version by referring to the icon legend below.

Encoded Compatible with Formativ products V1.5 or above (Encoded solution).

Flexalock(tm) Compatible with Formativ products V1.5 or above (Flexalock™ solution).

Open Source Compatible with all Formativ Admin/Studio, Developer/Creator (Open Source solution).

Right-mouse click on the appropriate colored icon and select 'Save Target As...', then save the file into the default Formativ applet folder, which is usually c:\program files\advansys\formativ\local\.

Add the sender details of a selected email message into an address book of your choice. If the entry already exists in the address book, a dialog will be displayed allowing you to either 1) replace the existing ' entry, or 2) select another address book.

Add or edit a note associated with the currently selected message. To view the your note text in the GroupWise client, right mouse click on the column headings in the message listing view, select 'More columns' and add the "Advansys Note" custom field into selected columns.

Displays HTML and HTM files in a list box and allows the user to select a file. The selected HTML file contents will be placed into a composing mail item.

Publishes the selected mailbox messages into a Word document.

Select from a list of user-definable signatures and insert the signature into a message. Supports both text and HTML signatures.
Virus Alert Use with Formativ Admin 1.0/1.5 or Developer 1.5 Use with Formativ 1.5 only Use with Formativ 1.5 or Formativ Client 1.0
Checks all incoming mail messages for executable attachments. The most common viruses and worms are sent via message attachments and, in many cases, the user is not aware of the potential danger arising from opening the attachments. This solution is not a substitute for a virus scanner.
